Mr. Naveed Munawar: My biggest turn off during an interview is when a candidate sends me an excellent resume while during the interview I find him/her with the lack of basic knowledge of his core specialization area. A piece of advice is, never lie or fabricate things while you are composing your resume as it establishes a bad repo with the employer right in the first meeting.

Mr. Naveed Munawar: At 89, we truly believe in work life balance. Fortunately, I remained lucky enough to have support & guidance of my seniors through out my career, to achieve such balance.

  • Well prepared & have the knowledge of the organization & the post he/she has applied for

Q10. What is your secret of success in life?

Mr. Naveed Munawar: My success mantra is hard work and complete dedication. But the support of my family has equal importance in my successful professional life.

Q11. Any good advice you want to give for our job seekers who want to join the HR field?

  1. Mr Naveed seems to be an experienced person according to my vision. He has guided truly in his answers.

  2. Its up to you how you make your résumé presentable. Fabricating in such a way that will result in exaggerating one’s résumé is obviously unethical!!

One could use different styles of presenting an experience or qualification one has or wants to have in future; but what ever style one is using, the basic meaning should not change at all.

  3. Sending a truthful resume and then not even getting a call for interview is very natural. Secondly, often resume is truth based, but while giving the interview, the candidate gets confused and is probably not able to answer well. So, the employer should give some space to the candidate and try to explore them during their probation.

  4. Dear Mr. Hussain,

I think you need to take a good sleep before posting an unclear question. Applicants should write what they are in their resumes. I would appreciate if you can clarify your post.

  5. I am not sure why he says no to mislead on resumes. If the applicants sends a honest applicant, I don’t think he’ll ever get a job. Not in this life perhaps… I am sure Mr. Naveed did not get his first job sending a truthful resume…
