Q. 6. How would you rate the success and importance of online recruitment firms such as ROZEE.PK?

Q. 9. Do you believe that Pakistani universities are creating an effective talent pool and what is your company’s strategy to attract the best talent in Pakistan?

Mr. Amir Ali Ahmad: Unfortunately they are not providing according to the needs of the employers. Most of the universities are acting as a business unit. One of the reasons for unemployment is the multiple standards of education being offered. The programs available are either outdated or have limited knowledge & scope as compared to the demand of industry.

Few good programs have been developed only for the well-off class due to their fee structure. Not a single stakeholder is taking it seriously, not understanding the career planning, industry demands etc. That is why most of the students are taking different multiple degree programs to get a job. Parents are worried for their children’s careers even after investing a huge amount of money on their studies.

Talent is just coming out with their self effort. Most of the companies have no option except to hire average resources. There is a big demand of human resources in the local and global market but the right kind of human resources are limited.

  • No planning for a right career
  • No proper preparation for interview e.g. lacking in attitude & knowledge

Q. 12. Due to rough economic situation and soaring price rise, how does your company deal with keeping itself cost effective and attractive for job seekers?

Mr. Amir Ali Ahmad: To be cost effective, the company has been taking many initiatives. For instance:

  • NetSol purchased the optimum online solution from ROZEE.PK that is saving the company money, time and efforts.
  • Efficient recruitment methods e.g. telephonic/online assessments, targeting the right people etc.
  • Automation of manual systems

Q. 13. Any good advice you want to give for the job seekers who want to enter and prosper in the professional field?

  1. My brother suggested I might like this web site. He was entirely right. This post actually made my day. You cann’t imagine just how much time I had spent for this info!

  2. Well said Amir. Had a good time reading your views. Keep up the great contributions to this growing profession. KR.

  3. Amir is a very thorough HR professional. I have had the oppurtunity working with him on various recruitment occasions on a very short timelines and through his seasoned tricks of the trade, he has always proved upto the mark. He brings in much value to his organization by practicing some very best HR traits he learned during his academics and through experience. The guidelines he mentioned above are good enough to suggest a success path to candidates who appear for an interview. I totally agree to these.

  4. Agree with Mr. Amir regarding Pakistani Universities, some one has to play their role, particularly Govt. to develop one best standard education system for all to meet the challenges of future of industry and give them right planned career path so that one get right job easily.

  5. Mr Amir’s aritcle is very helpful for fresh graduates applying for jobs with the motive of excelling and making good use of the knowledge and skills acquired.

I cannot tell you how disturbing it is to go to an employer with the drive to gain a skill and begin your professional career and realise that the work ethics in our country are still not upto the mark.

Sometimes it becomes very confusing because there’s a gap between the high expectations; interms of learning oppurtunities, of fresh garduates and the amount and nature of work assigned by employers.

I can only hope that I find the right place for myself because my ambition does not seem to be subsiding!Time is of great value to me like never before and the drive to learn is becoming more and more forceful.

  6. I agree with Mr. Amir Ali Ahmad that employees shouldn’t be afraid of Failures. We can take preventive and corrective measures after having failures and devlop importnant lessons learned tahts what we call continuous improvement. I believe that we can go beyond our expectations in every field if we feel no Fear of Failure, believe me if you guys forget about all sort of fears and potential risks you will ultimately get what you want/plan to accomplish. Biggest rule to get success is to embrace failues with open arms and learn from it feel no fear for failures. As Albert Einstein Said ” A person who never committed mistakes never tried anything new”.

Its my personal experience in my professional life that when i forget about fear of failure I accomplish my goal in a better way and meet excellence…Good wishes for all.
